Tina Chamberlain

As a parenting coach and educator, Tina empowers parents to discover their firm yet kind voice, while fostering a deeper connection with their children and contributing to a more fulfilling and joyful parenting experience.  Plus, she is just a parent on this journey as well, committed to the work. No judgment. She loves providing a safe space while providing practical action items and lots of practice! Tina is honored to enter this space and help families wherever they are at in their journey.

Tina takes pride in her certification as a Positive Parenting Coach, earned through Wendy and the Fresh Start Family in Fall 2023. Her journey to coaching was shaped by her deep passion for children, learning, and science. Initially, Tina began her career in biology, science research, and genetics, before transitioning to education. As a secondary teacher specializing in life sciences, she found joy in guiding teens as they transitioned into young adulthood and prepared to embark on their own paths. After dedicating 11 fulfilling years to being a stay-at-home mom, Tina embarked on a transformative journey into coaching, inspired by her own challenges and discoveries within the Fresh Start Family community.

A follower of Jesus, Tina’s path led her to Fresh Start Family through the teachings of Sheila Gregoire, where she found solace in deconstructing the religious impacts on her marriage and family. It was at a point in her life when she was at her wits end with her oldest, strong-willed child, and she could be found saying “I don’t want to do this anymore. I hate being a mom.” Discovering the Fresh Start Family was a true blessing, igniting a transformative journey from “old ways” within a wonderful community, and she has never looked back.

Residing in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Tina is a mother to three fun-filled children. Her many years of navigating motherhood amidst chronic health issues and pain (including a traumatic brain injury) have deepened her compassion for others in “rough places”. Her journey has propelled her advocacy work around mental health and general wellness for mothers and families, it is also why she calls herself a “brain health nerd”. Lastly, Tina feels privileged to stand by her daughter, who bravely manages Type 1 Diabetes, and loves meeting and working with other families in the T1D community around the impact it has on the whole family.
