Friday 5 ? Using Eye Contact with Kids to Increase Cooperation & Connection

Have you ever heard the saying “Eyes are the Windows to our Souls”? It really is so true, especially when it comes to connecting with our littles.

Using more eye contact with our kids is a wonderful practice that yields great results when you just want your kids to put on their shoes, get in the car, eat their breakfast, or take a bath…you know all the things that get us scratching our heads saying “why won’t they listen?”.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day busyness of life & jump from one obligation to the next with on the go schedules of parenting.

Pausing to slow down & really look into our child’s eyes stops the world from spinning for a second so you can actually connect with your child in a way that they’ll WANT to listen to you.

When we make friendly, loving eye contact, it builds connection & trust, and helps to ground us all (both parent and child) in the most beautiful way.

Always a pleasure to cheer you on….
