As our children move into their tween and teen years, this can be a feared & stressful time in our parenting journey..

Emotional outbursts, power struggles, complete withdrawal, hiding stuff, lying, engaging in sketchy activities …

These reactions from our teens and tweens and how we respond to them can cause relationship damage and loss of connection, easily if we don’t use tons of care.

The good news is, families, it’s NEVER too late to find that closeness and strengthen the parent-child bond with your kiddos even as they enter into these older phases of life.

We want more than anything  to feel close with our kids and we hope to pass on all of our treasured values to them, but as our kids grow up and start pushing back a little more (which by the way is totally developmentally appropriate) …

… we need to learn the best ways to set boundaries with a little flexibility and continue strengthening our bond.

Rather than pushing them further away with old parenting tactics that have led to generational cycles of broken relationships and distance. (no bueno, no one wants that!)

On this episode of the Fresh Start Family Show, family coach Sean Donohue joins Terry and me to discuss how we can stay connected with our growing kiddos, while keeping boundaries and limits with our precious tweens and teens.

Join Sean, Wendy and Terry as they explore these 3 key points:

1) How to prioritize closeness in your home.

2) Aiming for strong rules and limits with flexibility.

3) Incorporating win-wins and having peaceful conflict resolution in your home.

We are here to help you through all of the phases of parenting and help bring peace to your home and connection to your family!

What if you could be an effective, firm & kind parent WITHOUT relying on fear, force, bribery & rewards?

IMAGINE …

Parenting your kids with calmness & confidence each day in a way that causes them to do what’s asked of them because they WANT to (not because they HAVE to) … because you’re helping to build essential life skills that have them behaving well & being respectful when you’re NOT looking!

Imagine learning a new way of firm (AND kind) parenting so you can end painful generational parenting cycles and create family legacies & memories YOU are proud of?

All while getting your kids to cooperate with your rules and boundaries with ease.
